Zenab & Kelsey chompn some corn!

Kufta Anyone! (Egyptian Hamburgers) If you weren't there you missed out!

Quincy, Steven, Dr. Phillip Calvert, Josh, Brian
Dr. Calvert was influencial to so many of us this last couple of years, I can still see him in class reaching across the table with his hand stretched out saying "I challenge you"... that's what he did best, he tried to bring out Christ in us through love, teaching, and discipleship. He's leaving with the IMB to be in charge of over 50 (estimate) latin countries and the many people that are working the fields in those urban areas. We will miss him dearly, but his time here wasn't in vain, in fact it was instrumental.

My Helpmeet!

March 22, was my Helpmeet's birthday! My wife has been such a blessing to our family. I'm sure many take for granted the things that their wives do for them, even myself sometimes, but Robin does so much for us. What a blessing it is to have a wife that is devoted to Christ, our life together is so richer because she puts Christ first. Robin has been gone the last couple of weeks to east texas with her mother, because she was in a car accident and has needed help around the house and helping her recovery. Last week one morning I woke up, lonely. I have so many friends, that's something I've never had problems getting. But as I laid there, there wasn't one person that I thought of that could fill that void that I was having from Robin not being there. Even though I could speak to her over the phone, it just was not the same! At that moment I was so grateful that God has given us more days together, because I couldn't fathom what it would be like to be without her. Robin, Thank You, for loving me second.

A Little Family Fun

Life has been so crazy at Seminary, my pastor warned me that "it would be some of the best & worst times of our life", as we have been here now going on two years we understand the phrase! We are trying so hard to get debt free, its really something we have put our minds at doing and gosh its hard! Not that we can't get there, because you know we are getting there but because we put so much money towards debt we spend less currently... sometimes its tough like when I watch my daughter dance around the house in her ballet as she enjoyed that so much and she wishes so much to go back into ballet but we can't afford to pay off debt & and send her to ballet lessons too. Or when Kelsey wants to do horse back riding lessons with her friend here on campus but then comes the same issue. Or how I know my wife needs new clothes for spring & summer but won't spend it so that we reach our goal for the month.. or how I desire so much to go eat some real expensive seafood like crab, shrimp but I know that it would spend money we don't need to spend.... but then theres times like these where we went to the local bowling alley during non-peak times and got to bowl 1 game including shoes for $13 for all 4 of us... the girls had a blast and we had some great time just watching them and bringing a little laughter and family smiles to our lives.
