Awaiting Our Son...

The Mother has made her nest! And we are awaiting our son, Zeth Gamal Mensinger... 6 weeks left till 40 weeks (technically Robin only made it to 38 weeks with both girls, so needless to say we could be 4 weeks and counting)... we are truly blessed to be awaiting our son! Next to the bed preperations, its been 7 years since we had a baby... wow, its really kind of crazy thinking about it, in fact its almost kind of like the first one all over again because its been so long
Zeth's crib, he probably won't be sleeping in this for awhile, but its ready for him... praise God for Craigs List this time around... everything including this crib we have been able to find high quality furniture used at Wal-Mart pricing if you know what I mean!

This rocking chair has been in our family for years and rocked many babies...my mother has graciously allowed us to use it during this time of having the baby (good luck getting back!) but it was actually hand made by an Amish man in Ohio and signed and even his address on the bottom of the chair...
Its pretty awesome being able to have a room just for Zeth, this is really our first time to be able to do that, we can't wait to BEHOLD the WONDER...

Kelsey's 11th Birthday Party "Chefs"

Its amazing our daughter is now 11... she is growing up so fast on us, and we are so proud of her. Kelsey is really beginning to take on more responsibility around the home and is developing and molding under her mother's teachings.Kelsey desired to have a "pastry chef party", where all the kids that came were able to create their own cakes with fondunt and take them home as a parting gift. And as usual, Robin made it happen. We were able to find these cotton chef hats and aprons on Ebay and Robin bought puff paint so the kids could personalize their aprons/hats...We started the night off with homemade pizzas, each child got a personal pan crust and then went to town on their ingrediants, the weirdest pizza was a mashed potato/cheese pizza.Robin found these cute togo boxes at Micheals and prebaked all the cakes so that the girls could decorate their cakes whichever way they wanted. From white/colored fondunt, different color icings, candy, sprinkles, the cakes were a hit! And each kid was able to take them home and show their family and best of all share the sweet goodness with loved ones...Kelsey and her friends in front of her special cake that Robin made... each year she amazes us with great cakes! This was the slumber party, 3 girls... popcorn, movies, and staying up really really late with lots of girl chit chat...
